Our Story
The Tucker And Tate® brand was founded in 2019 by husband and wife duo Tucker and Tate Johnson. As parents themselves, Tucker and Tate struggled to find footwear and clothing for their family that was both fashionable and comfortable for everyday wear. Most kids’ shoes and clothes seemed poorly made, while adult styles sacrificed comfort for style.
Tucker had years of experience working in the footwear industry, while Tate had an eye for fashion and design. Together they saw an opportunity to create a brand that offered the best of both worlds: durable products crafted with quality materials and construction methods that also have beautiful, modern aesthetics.
The name Tucker And Tate® pays homage to this husband and wife team and their goal to design products suitable for the entire family. Tucker brings his expertise in shoe making, while Tate lends her fashion sense – together they create versatile looks perfect for school, work, play and every occasion in between.
Since those early days, Tucker and Tate have assembled a talented team of designers, developers and customer service specialists to help bring their vision to life.
